Studio SMA is an architecture studio based in Seoul, Korea, with a philosophy of transforming ordinary, everyday spaces into more meaningful environments. The studio's work evokes serenity and imbues spaces with a tranquil atmosphere. Given the diverse range of the studio's projects, it was essential for the identity to seamlessly integrate with any project while maintaining a subdued elegance.
Inspired by the studio’s body of work, the identity and typography system was developed with a minimalist approach to convey their calm, almost sensory aesthetic. The typography system was carefully crafted, focusing not only on typeface selection but also on scale, especially when written in both English and Korean.
