2019 Summer & 2020 Summer
The summer issue of the 2020 Design Journal was published with the theme of climate change. Containing seven articles from renowned climate change and environmental experts and activists, the publication covers the design impact, political actions, the immediate climate crisis, new sustainable methodologies, and more.
Inspired by the scalar fields often seen in weather apps, a new gradient color palette was introduced as the main graphic device, setting a visual tone for the articles.
The 2019 issue focused on innovations in design. To evoke flexibility and dynamism for each article, numerous images were knocked out, playing with negative spaces and scale contrast against narrow column texts.
